Mr. Steam 90229-1 Probe Assembly for Low Water Cutout (LWCO)
The Mr. Steam 90229-1 Probe Assembly is specifically designed for the CU series steam bath generators. Initially installed on the side of the pressure vessel for models CU360-1400A from 2001 onwards, it was optional as part of the Auxiliary Low Water Cutout (LWCO) required in certain local codes. Subsequently, in 2003, it became standard to install the 90229-1 at the top of the generator, while it remained optional for CU models until 2019 when it became standard for CU2000 and later models.
For replacement in any CU generator, the appropriate probe assembly depends on the type of LWCO probe configuration:
- For models with a side probe for AUX LWCO, the 90229-1 probe assembly should be used.
- For models with a top probe for AUX LWCO, the 90229 spark plug and 99807B (9" rod) are recommended.
- For models with a top probe for high water cutoff, the 90229-1 probe assembly is suitable.
NOTE: Verification of the correct part requires providing the system serial number.
Features:
- Versatile Compatibility: Compatible with CU series steam bath generators, adaptable to various LWCO probe configurations.
